Leslie Carey

Leslie Carey is a life-long community activist and volunteer, as well as a mother of three living in Hendersonville, NC. Ongoing investment and action in community at large is one of the core values and directives that was instilled in Leslie early on by her family. 

As an actively engaged steward of her community, Leslie regularly volunteers at Dandelion Restaurant in Hendersonville, which helps fund Safelight, a nonprofit that assists survivors of domestic violence and their children. Leslie also serves as the First Vice Chair of the Henderson County Democratic Party, is the former NCDP District 11 Chair, and a former PTA president.

Leslie holds a Bachelors of the Arts from Columbia College.
